Building the Bateau 14 canoe
Here a picture of the hull already glued. This is one of the few pictures I took during daylight! I built this canoe mostly after work, so I took most of the pictures at night.
Another picture of the finished hull. You can probably see I have to add a lot of epoxy in the bow to fair it. That is because I wasn't careful enough when putting the pieces together with the duck tape. The worst part is the sanding. Sanding epoxy will generate a lot of dust. Make sure you are using a good mask that will filter those particles. Epoxy dust is nasty stuff!
I added runners to the bottom of the hull (this is not in the original plans), with the hope that it will track better. The boat tracks very well, but not sure the runners are doing the trick!
